About the Program

Where rich Montessori academics truly come to life.

Casa is the heart of Montessori learning. Children at this age are naturally driven to explore language, math, culture, and the world around them. Our Casa environment supports deep concentration, independence, and joyful academic exploration.

Academic Foundations in Casa

Language: Reading & Writing
Children move through a full early literacy progression, including:

  • phonetic sound mastery
  • sandpaper letters
  • the movable alphabet
  • decoding (reading)
  • encoding (writing)
  • early composition
  • vocabulary expansion
  • storytelling and journaling

Most children begin reading and writing confidently before Grade 1.

Mathematics: Concrete → Abstract
Montessori math materials offer a deep, hands-on understanding of number concepts. Children explore:

  • numerals and quantities
  • number rods & spindle boxes
  • the decimal system
  • addition, subtraction, multiplication & division
  • the bead chains
  • early fractions
  • place value
  • counting patterns and memorization work

This foundation leads to strong abstract reasoning and problem-solving.

Sensorial Development
Sensorial materials refine the senses while strengthening early foundations in math, geometry, and scientific thinking. Children explore:

  • visual discrimination
  • grading & sequencing
  • shape, size, and pattern
  • early geometric solids
  • sound and tactile materials

These activities deepen logic, vocabulary, and concentration.

Cultural Studies
Children develop a broad understanding of the world through hands-on lessons in:

  • geography
  • botany
  • zoology
  • physical science
  • cultural traditions & global awareness

This inspires curiosity, respect, and a love of learning.

Practical Life & Independence
Cleaning routines, plant care, early sewing, and extended work cycles strengthen coordination, responsibility, and intrinsic motivation all essential academic habits.

Social & Emotional Development
Grace & Courtesy lessons help children build leadership, empathy, self-regulation, and confidence. These capacities support strong academic engagement throughout the elementary years.
