Hi, I’m Caitlin, the Head Teacher of the Sprouts classroom at Flourish Montessori Learning Academy.

My journey as an educator began with my own childhood love for the outdoors while attending an outdoor educational school in South Africa, Woodridge College and Preparatory School. That early connection to nature eventually led me to Cape Town, where I earned my Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching. My professional path began in a Grade 1 classroom of 37 wonderful learners, an experience that strengthened my classroom skills and deepened my passion for child-led growth and learning.

Driven by a love for travel and adventure, I spent two unforgettable summers working at an adventure camp in Aspen before making my way to Canada to experience my first snowy winter. I am so excited to now be part of the Canmore community and to embrace all the beauty and opportunities this special place has to offer.

Throughout my travels and experiences, the Montessori philosophy has remained at the heart of my approach to education. I believe that within a thoughtfully prepared environment, children are capable of leading their own discovery and developing at their own natural pace. To me, Montessori is more than a curriculum. It is a way of nurturing independence, empathy, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

I feel incredibly grateful and excited to bring this passion to the Sprouts classroom at Flourish Montessori Learning Academy.
